Full image not captured

    I have a rectangular photo I want to insert as an image on a page. When I upload it, it changes to a square in the middle of the photo, cutting off the person’s forehead. even when I change the image settings to a rectangualr width/height, it’s the same. Help!

    Hi Kochuthoma,

    When adding an image from the media library, on the right hand side, make sure you’ve scrolled to the bottom and choose the size in the attachment display settings. It sounds like you have Thumbnail selected now.

    Thank you, that totally worked! Now my problem is that I can’t seem to make the image smaller in the place where I pasted it… I clicked “Edit” then tried to adjust the widthxheight in the Image tab but no mattre what numbers I put there the image is the same size :( The text I pasted to the right of it is only a few lines long so the image is significantly bigger

    @Kochuthoma – Since your site is Private, (and therefore we cannot see it) please let us know what theme you are using and whether you are adding a single image or multiple images in a Gallery.

    It would also be helpful to know which Post Editor you are using to create your Posts/Pages. Is it the new blue editor or the WP Admin editor?

    Hello, I’m using the “Ultra” theme and adding single images into the Media Library, then using the “Themify Builder” to drag-drop them as images onto a page I’m building…it’s a page about my team so I want everyone’s image next to the text about them. I’m using the WP Admin editor… thanks so much for the help

    “Ultra” is not one of the 350+ themes available to sites hosted on WordPressdotcom. https://wordpress.com/themes/search/Ultra/ nor do we have access to the “Themify Builder.” This makes me think that the site you need help with is not hosted here.
