  I was given admin access for the website mlaneharrison.com. When I try to accept it it tells me ‘Full management mode is off for this site.’

  How can I have the current owner adjust the website so that I am able to accept the invitation to be an admin?

  I guess I’m confused then. I got an email from (email visible only to moderators and staff) that said

  “mlaneh has invited you to administer M. Lane Harrison. As an administrator you will be able to do anything. Nothing is off-limits. Don’t let the power go to your head!”

  Then there is a link to wordpress.com/accept-invite to accept it.

  Why did I get this email if the website is self-hosted?
