Full Page Width Post

I am looking for a theme that will allow my post to span the entire width of the display space, that is the usually text space + the sidebar space. I can’t seem to find one, and am unable to find a related post? could you assist?

There are a number of themes here that allow you to set the layout to full-width, no-sidebar. See this post by Panos and look at the top section (no widgets area) and at the section at the bottom (bottom or header only).
Also at http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/ use the filter feature and filter by “one-column and “theme options”. It will bring up a couple that might not fit exactly, but again it will give you some ideas.
One of my favorites right now is Manifest since it has great typography, a single column with a couple widget areas at the bottom and focuses on your content.

OK, am kinda new at this, I tried some diff themes and filters but they do not seem to apply even after clicking apply? but none stretched across the entire width of the page, where the sidebar space is? The one column is too narrow. Also, it changed my other blog post which I like just the way it is, I just want this ONE post to be in a diff format.
I checked out FORMAT, under the post itself, std, gallery, aside, but don’t see anything diff happening, and am unable to find a definition for what these layouts are supposed to effect.

There’s no way to make one post in particular lose the sidebar (it’s possible with static pages in some themes, but not with posts).

They add extra graphics to a post or to items such as pictures of videos – nothing to do with sidebar or no sidebar.
