Full post on reader and stats

  Hi
  I have a wordpress.org site and am wondering about stats. If I show my full post – not just an excerpt – in the reader, does it count as a view for my site if someone reads it? OR do they still need to click thru to my site for the stats to register – even thou the full post is available in the reader?

  Hi there,

  Are you speaking of your Jetpack-connected site?

  As far as I know, Jetpack sites work the same as WordPress.com, in that a view of the post in the Reader registers as a view on the post.

  Thank you – yes my site is wordpress.org and connected to wordpress.com reader by jetpack. I notice that some people have the full post showing in the reader and wondered if a person reads it there – rather than clicking to go thru to the actual url it originates from – that a view is registered in the stats.
  You are telling me u think a wordpress.org site will also have a view registered – so that is great
  ;-)
