Full post text no longer showing on home page

  I’ve been using the Huntt theme for my site for a few years now and the complete post texts and photos used to show up on the homepage up until a week ago. I checked in on the site today and now only excerpts show up with no photos except the featured image. I’ve been through all the settings and don’t find any options for displaying full text or excerpts. Any ideas how to get it back to the way it was?

  Hello @dsgnrgrafik

  You need to add a featured image to a blog post to enable it display the photos alongside with the excerpt.

  To add a featured image and expert to a particular blog post:
  Go to My Site → Posts → Select post then click on Document in the top right of your screen: https://wordpress.com/support/excerpts/#create-an-excerpt

  You’ll be able to add a featured Image and custom excerpt for that particular post from there.

  Does this resolves the issue for you?

  Please note that if you want your full excerpt to be displayed you need to leave the space for custom excerpt blank.

  Thanks for the info, but doesn’t address the issue unfortunately.
  All the posts have featured images as well as images within each post, and up until a week ago the home page was displaying the featured images as well as full post texts and images within the posts.
  I checked out the home page one week and all looked as it always has looked since I created the site two years ago, then I visited it a few days ago and the home page was completely different.
  I’m wondering if WordPress set new defaults for some of their paid themes recently?

  Which post(s) are specifically affected? That will be helpful information in order for us to look at it closer.

  Looking at the front page of the site the only post missing a featured image is https://formfunctionstyle.wordpress.com/2019/05/22/shop-our-artists-online/

  Do you see the same thing?

  Thanks for taking a look! Yes, that post was the only one without a featured image. In the meantime I went through and overhauled all the posts so I’m happy with it now. Still don’t understand what changed! I went to the Internet Archive and took a screenshot of the home page of the site from last year showing the difference in the way the posts were displayed. Anyway no worries, and thanks for your help!
