Full screen suspected phishing pop-up when logging into my free site
-
Hi!
Thanks for the update. For those still experiencing the redirect issue, if your site has ads active, could you please try the following to turn off ads?
You can go to Tools → Monetize (or Jetpack → _Monetize if using WP Admin), click on the “Ads” tab, and then “Settings” to turn off ads. After that, please activate it again and clear your browser cache: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/.This should reset the ads settings and load an updated version of the site.
Please let me know how it goes, and if the issue persists, we can investigate this further.

My site is currently a free account. Surely if I click monetize as you request my site will become a paid account and I will then be asked to pay? I don’t wish to do this. How do I get this issue fixed and keep my account free?

… the issue still remains… 19:00 (+0h Lisbon CET time)… what a shame from a platform that wants to be one of the leading web platforms of the World!!!
What a shame guys!!! Come on guys!!!
Now it’s from “winaura.icu”

Ok it’s back for me after behaving for a couple of days.
WordPress – this isn’t good enough. We need to trust your platform, and thinking users are being redirected to potential scam sites from a legitimate web host is pathetic.
I appreciate you get nothing for free and fully expect ads on our content if we’re using free plans. But these have to be legitimate and legal ads. If you’ve taken to using an ad platform that is accepting spam and scams then WordPress.com is no longer a viable or safe platform for serious use or maintaining the reputation of your users’ content.
I was just about to start quite a time-consuming project using wordpress.com and will be looking for alternatives. Such a shame.

Have no words to WordPress…
The issue still remains… +/- 02:10 (+0h Lisbon CET time)…
Now it’s from “defendwarden.click”…
Is this on purpose? Is this to force the free users to go to the paid version? Are you selling ads without no control, even scammers?
No more excuses, as you can see, this appends in chrome and firefox!

Hi there,
I appreciate your patience while we reviewed this on our end! Our new ads partner has implemented a fix that should take care of the scam-type ads. Please let us know if you continue to see them.
Warm regards,
