Full Site Editing Theme

  Hi there!
  I have some questions about Full Site Editing Theme!
  + In my starter theme ‘Twenty Twenty-Three’, I’ve already customed Header and Footer. If I changed to other FSE theme, is the content that I customized lost or not?
  + If they lost, can I restore theme by switching to ‘Twenty Twenty-Three’ again?

  Hi –

  When switching between themes nothing happens to your content. It will all still exist in the back end of the site. There may be some adjustments needed to display it on the new theme option, but we don’t remove that content (it belongs to you, not us!).

  @thtnphat From personal experience, switching back to a theme will not bring back all the customizations you might have made. I recommend exporting your data, creating a test site and import your data with the theme you wish to use into the test site and see what happens.

  @thtnphat generally if you want the content to stay in place even when you switch themes, I’d recommend adding it to the pages themselves rather than the theme templates. You can always edit the page if needed.
