full size pic at the top

Every time I add a picture it pops up at the top in full size. It also appears where I added it and I can change that size and location but no matter what I do, what settings I change the full sized picture remains. Tried changing all sorts of settings, started a new post but the image at the top remains like herpes.

Hi,
The Rebalance theme has tools in Customize that allow some control over where featured images display. Go to Customize > Content Options, and scroll down to Featured Images. Check or uncheck the boxes in front of the options listed there, according to where you’d like featured images to appear, and save any changes.
To hide featured images on individual posts, uncheck the box labeled “Display on single posts.” To prevent the first image (which might also be the last image) in the content of a post from appearing in the place of a featured image, uncheck the box labeled “Automatically use first image in post.” Then save your changes by clicking the “Save Changes” button at the top.

Thanks for the tip – it did solve the problem. Although at first it left the whole blog blank and only after a while did it start working again.
