Full URL for PDF Documents Not Visible Anymore

  For years, I have included links to PDF documents contained in my domain’ data files. It has a long URL (path) with the first part unchanged and just the last sub-folder and document name different.

  So to make things easier to do, I would open up a previously posted link from my blog post, copy/paste it into URL field of a new link, and then change the last folder and actual filename as required. I would then enter this into the URL field as I insert the link into a new post.

  This has worked great for several years. But now, when I go to a link from my blog/page post, the PDF document opens, but nowhere is the full URL visible. It just shows the name of the document.

  I do not know if Windows 10 has caused this, or IE, or whetwr an improvement in WordPress has caused this. But I want to see the full URL when I open up a PDF document from a link.

  How do I do this?
