Full-width content area
-
Hello, I’d like to change the width of the content area to fullscreen. Now there is a blank space in the right and left side, I want it all disappear. Is there any CSS code I could use?
Note: I have tried full width page in attribute too. It’s just not what I meant. And I also can tolerate image sharpness loss resulting in this CSS you’d suggest.
Thanks in advance

Hi there, first off I see a banner in your right sidebar saying, “placer your ads here” that will have to be removed. We are not allowed to add our own advertising here at WordPress.com. We do however have the WordAds program that you might be interested in checking out.
Right now I see content in your left and right sidebars. To be able to recover that space for content, we would have to hide both of those sidebars. The following assumes you are only wanting to remove the sidebars and widen the content on the home page. Paste the following at the bottom of your custom CSS and see what you think.
.page-template-showcase-php #secondary, .page-template-showcase-php #tertiary { display: none; } .page-template-showcase-php #content-wrap, .page-template-showcase-php .hfeed-more .hentry { width: 100%; } .page-template-showcase-php .featured-wrapper img { height: 100%; width: 100%; max-width: 940px; } .page-template-showcase-php #content { margin-right: 0; } .page-template-showcase-php .featured-image img { width: 100% !important; height: auto !important; } .page-template-showcase-php a.read-more, .page-template-showcase-php a.read-more:visited { top: 0; } .page-template-showcase-php .section-title h1 { width: 97.4%; } -
hello. I cant find the text widget which showed the ads that you’ve been mentioning. I hide it, but it wont disappear. And when I want to delete it, I cant find the widget. How to unhide the widget?
As for WordAds, I’ve submitted and never hear a word from them. It’s just a one-off email notification that told not so informational elaboration. I registered when this site is three-months old, which is easily rejected because the pageview is not enough. But now as the pageview is skyrocketing, I dont receive any follow up of my status.
Where can I see the requirement to be accepted by WordAds?

OOPS, it’s already disappear. My bad.
The question about WordAds still needs answer, though. :D

On the WordAds, now that your traffic is growing, I would again apply and see what they say. I would suggest looking through the FAQ page on the WordAds site. There is a section on eligibility and more.

Yes, I did apply for the second time.
It says.Your publicly visible blog(s)
REMEH-TEMEH *
*) Application has already been sent for this blogIt is not a signup by the way. It’s a request of invitation. How many pageview do you need to be considered in this program?

the email: Hi, remehtemehmedia. Thank you for your interest in WordAds. We review all sites for inclusion in our WordAds program. However, because of the volume of applications, we are unable at this time to reply individually to all applicants.
Our advertising partners have minimum traffic requirements (need info about this), and when your site traffic meets these requirements, we’ll be in touch.
In the meantime, we recommend our guide for getting more site views: http://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-more-views-and-traffic/ -
Our advertising partners do have a minimum traffic threshold. Looking at your page views, it’s not possible to earn meaningful earnings given your traffic levels. A site generally needs thousands of page views each month to earn meaningful earnings. As your traffic grows we will continue to apply to get ads activated, there is no need to re-apply.
For now, I recommend reading this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-more-views-and-traffic/
I want to strongly emphasize sharing your blog with your friends and family. If they like it, they’ll share it with their friends, and so on.
