Full Width in Demo?

  Hi,

  I have the Coutoire Theme by Automattic. In their demo, the front page has varying width, some full screen sections and some within a set column. However, on my site, everything is contained within a column?

  Nevermind. I didn’t realize this was just a Full Width setting as part of Gutenberg blocks.

  Sorry, I just realize that the Full Width ONLY works when it’s a single image. However, setting full width in a column won’t work?

  Hi,

  The full-width image on the home page of the Coutoire demo, and seen in the Adding content to your Homepage section of the Coutoire Overview, is in an Image Block, not a Columns Block.

  Sorry, I just realize that the Full Width ONLY works when it’s a single image. However, setting full width in a column won’t work?

  I haven’t tested to very that what you say is true, but it makes sense since a Columns Block is to be used when you want at least two images side-by-side. There’s no reason to use the Columns Block to display an image at full-width.

  I’ll call for staff attention to see if they can better explain the issue and results that you’ve described.

  In an individual column it won’t, no. But it does work with the Columns block: the Columns block is the bottom layer, and then you add additional blocks for each individual column to it.

  

  Note that I have the columns block selected there, not an individual comment.

  Let me know if that’s not what you’re speaking of.
