Full width site show ?
-
Hello,
I’ve been enjoy the new theme Pique with the one page scroll design, yet i have a question about the full width of the site.
I’ve got a white boarder, at left and at right of my site? Is that normal ?
Can it be done like shown in the exemple image with the full width ?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @chengzhongfr,
Yes, that’s normal. Actually the page has max-width: 1400px, so if your screen resolution is more than 1400px you will see with border on left and right. I believe you will see the border too in the demo https://piquedemo.wordpress.com/
You can get rid the border by adding css code. But first you need to upgrade your account to Business or Premium Plan to activate Custom Design feature. Then you can go to My Sites → Customize → CSS and paste this code:
.site{ max-width: 100%; } -
Ha, great minds think alike @nizmilputra, I was typing out a very similar reply.
Depending on the background images being used, this additional CSS might also help:
.pique-panel-background { background-size: cover }That will let the background images go all the way across your screen, and not repeat (it may stretch them a bit depending on individual screen sizes).

staff-loquaciousloon If I’m not mistaken .pique-panel-background is already has background-size: cover, isn’t it? https://cloudup.com/clOIrqhfEBC

@nizamilputra thanks very much, i did not look into the css at first, just thought it might be an error when i was doing the configuration of the theme, so it does make sense :)
staff-loquaciousloon thanks for your advice, that’s helpful :)

You’re welcome @chengzhongfr!
You’re right @nizamilputra, it looks like it does already have background-size set to cover.
I was answering the same question elsewhere the other day, and on that site it wasn’t covering – that person must have made changes before I got there!
