Fully deleting my entire account

  Hey there I would love to permenantely delete my entire account but I’m not sure how to!

  Hi there,

  So that nobody else uses your username in the future, accounts cannot be deleted. Accounts are kept so that usernames cannot be recycled. You can learn more about this in the support documents – http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

  If you would like to scrub the account of all information, and remove all communications with WordPress.com you can do the following:

  1. Cancel any upgrades if you have any – https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/#deleting-a-site-with-upgrades
  2. Empty your site of all content – https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/
  3. Delete your site – https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
  4. Block all WordPress.com emails, click “Block Emails” – https://wordpress.com/settings/notifications/
  5. Update your email to a throwaway email address – https://wordpress.com/me/account
  6. Generate a random strong password and save it – https://wordpress.com/me/security
  7. Update your gravatar profile to remove any personal information – https://en.gravatar.com/site/login#about-you You can also hide this profile from external access by clicking “Hide my Profile” on your profile page.

  This will only leave your account username, as said this is kept so that nobody else can use it.
