Fundraising / Selling from wordpress.com blogs (terms of service)

  I have a current blog and was thinking about selling items from the page. Is that allowed?

  Also, I am working with a non-profit to set up a webpage using wordpress.com. Is it possible for them to fundraise from this platform?

  Aside from a blog being accepted into WordAds http://www.wordads.co/ no blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work or products created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed on free hosted wordpress.com blogs. E-commerce transactions via shopping carts and the like cannot be conducted on free blogs from and being free hosted by wordpress.com

  As for fundraising for a non-profit, I run a blog for work at a federally recognized 501 (c3) not for profit organization. I have a paypal donation button prominently displayed on the sidebar of the blog. (ok, no one has yet used it…) I link to our hosted website as well, and people have used the paypal button on there. The blog, though, is filled with how-to-do ideas, interesting people, and recycled/re-useable materials we sell, workshops we offer. I did ask the ToS folks here before starting the blog and got a positive answer. I’m not sure how one asks a direct question to them now…

  Please take a look at links ‘thistimethisspace’ posted as those exactly explain what’s allowed and what isn’t.

  As for fundraising I recommend using the PayPal Donate Button.
