Future access

Hi, I am writing a blog about my 3 years living in Germany. I want to be able to upload videos and tons of pictures, and for that I will apparently need to upgrade. My question is this: If I pay $10/month for a few years, and then stop adding to my blog, can I ‘downgrade’ and still have access to all my content? I don’t want to lose it – it’s like my diary. But I also don’t want to sign up to pay forever.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

If you upgrade and then downgrade at a later time, you won’t lose any content you uploaded while upgraded. If you are past the 3GB free storage limit at that point you won’t be able to upload any new media files, and you will lose the ability to upload video and audio files, but any media already in the library will still appear on your site and any video and audio files added while Premium was active will still play.

Note that all upgrades on WordPress.com are billed annually. The monthly pricing on the Plans page is just for comparison purposes. The cost of Premium is $99 for a year at a time.
