GAH! HELP! AT MY WIT'S END! BLOG SAYS IT'S PRIVATE WHEN IT'S NOT

  Hello,

  I previously set my blog to private to do some editing. I’ve got it looking good and ready to go, so I took off the privacy setting. But it still won’t post to Facebook, even though there seems to be nothing wrong with that connection, and it claims to be private, even though I turned to privacy setting off.

  Please, please, please help me. I’ve been trying to figure this out for over an hour to no avail.

  Double Gah! I see below it still claims my blog name is mylifewithtits.wordpress, even though I spent the 99 for my own domain name, that works in some places but not others–how do I fix that? (it should be http://www.mylifewithouttits.com.)

  I just visited your site and it looks like it’s currently public. Are you still seeing the privacy icon?

  The mylifewithtits.wordpress.com address is an internal address that was created when you created your account and blog.

  If you wish to change your WordPress.com address, you can do so by following these instructions:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  This is purely for your benefit, as the WordPress.com name change will be invisible to the visitors to your site.

  If you ever decide to no longer use the domain mylifewithouttits, your site will still be available at mylifewithtits.wordpress.com.

  Does that clarify things? Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  Hello Shawna,

  Thanks for responding to my plea.

  Unfortunately, I am still getting a privacy message when I try to link to FB. The blog no longer shows a privacy icon, and some visitors have managed to find it, but when I try to link to the FB page I made for the blog, the link reads as though it is a private blog.

  I cleared my cookies and cache, and logged in and out of both sites, and it is still doing it this morning.

  Interesting. I just cleared your site’s cache in case that was causing problems with the recent visibility change.

  Can you take a screenshot of the privacy message you’re getting? You can just upload it to your Media Library and I’ll be able to take a look.
