Gain access to old account

    Hi there,

    I’m trying to get access to an old account which unfortunately is connected to an old phone number with no back-up codes.

    We’re trying to get hold of a pre-existing theme that was installed on the site made in this account but can’t get access to it. Is there any way around it? If not would it be possible to completely delete this account so we can make a new one with the same login?

    Can you tell us the username or blog address for the account you’re trying to access?

    If not would it be possible to completely delete this account so we can make a new one with the same login?

    Only someone logged into a WordPress.com account can delete it, and once an account is deleted, the username is permanently removed from our system and can never be used again by anyone, including the original owner.

    We are not able to help here in the support forums, as verifying account ownership requires us to ask you to provide info that is best not shared in this public venue.

    Cheers for that, I checked out this page earlier in the week but sadly I don’t have any of the required proof of owner ships. The site was hosted by WP Engine so seeing if I can track down any info there, but I think this is going to be a lost cause.
