Is there some associated code with the gadget? If yes, then please paste it here and then we can see if you can add that gadget or not. If it contains any Javascript, you can’t. Do you just want buttons so that the page can be translated?

@galaxias: If you’re on a WordPress.com blog, you can’t add any Google Gadgets. However, if you simply require translation buttons, then you might wanna check out what Lorelle has to say. It’s a little complicated but should work.

OOPS! I just saw the link – apparently we were all typing simultaneously to multiple threads. And ishmeet is correct we cannot use javascript. You can confirm this here FAQs http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/javascript-can-i-use-that-on-my-blog/
