galleries – a question
-
I’ve just put up a gallery widget with about 25 pics – love it hugely. My question is – do I get a ‘view’ everytime a visitor clicks the gallery tab?
< this, or > this.
because my stats have gone a little silly.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You should see this reflected in your WP.com stats, preceded by “Image viewed”.
I will mention is that it really took a hugely long time for your page to finish loading, and I have little doubt this was due to the number of images you’ve put in the Gallery widget. Maybe see if you can do with fewer images?

It loads pretty quick for me on a 4 year old macbook pro jj, and the blog is image heavy because it has to be – a murder unsolved for 65 years, one that still engages the attention of a lot of other websites (the opposition to WP) – needs all the old pics it can find.

Page load time also has repercussions on your search engine ranking, so again, the question is whether all the images need to be in the sidebar. That affects loading time regardless of which page a visitor lands on. If visitors land on a page and then read a different page on your site, the images will then be loaded from their browser cache.
Regardless, perhaps I was having a bad connection day, because now in FF 24 the sidebar loaded fairly quickly for me. (Different computer and browser than previously.)
