Galleries and the Mobile Theme

  Is the gallery feature not compatible with cell phones or is this just an iPhone thing? It just displays as a black box.

  The only galleries I could find do not seem to be hosted on WordPress.com, so a link would definitely help.

  I’m sorry, I meant slideshow not gallery. The slideshow is appearing as a black box. The latest slideshow is;

  I have it but don’t use it. It seems to be for editing rather than viewing.

  Are you saying the app is need for a visitor to see the slideshow?

  The slideshow uses Flash. I don’t have an iPhone but understand that Flash can be a problem with it. I’ll wait to hear from another iPhone user (tsp?)

  Yes, as I understand it, the slideshows here are flash at this time. I thoroughly expect that at some point wordpress will switch over to HTML5 so that the slideshows are viewable on iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches, but as of right now, sorry.

  And looking at the link you gave above on my feature phone (don’t laugh-smartphones do not yet rule outside the US) I get a black box with a caption saying “This slideshow requires JavaScript”.

  Ahhh, that explains it. Well the black box will just have to do for now I guess.
