Galleries New Editor

    Is it still possible to make tiled mosaic galleries as in the old editor?
    (less space between pics, and more at random sizes)

    That’s a good question. I don’t think so, at present.

    Part of what made the mosaic galleries nice – in my opinion – is that the images, if resized, retained their original width-to-height ratio without being cropped for purposes of appearance.

    I hope that the developers add the tiled mosaic option into the Gutenberg editor, as well as the ability to view galleries as a slideshow (forward/back arrows).
