Gallery attachement page – 404 error

  I’m setting up a page on one of my blogs here using the gallery page. I like the attachment page option, but I don’t like that there is a pop up window that appears (when you mouse over an image to click it to view it larger) which has a 404 error message in it. Is there any way to get rid of it. And how to you get rid of the comment box that appears on the attachement page?

  Yes, go to Appearance->Extras and disable MShots.

  As for the comments box, attachment pages adopt the default settings. So you must go to Settings>Discussion, deactivate comments, then</then> create the page with the gallery. Then you can set comments on again for the particular page (in the page editor) as well as the default settings.
