Gallery — can I name, save, and re-use a gallery

  I have created a gallery of photos which is in a widget as part of a carousel right now. I would like to use these same pictures in a slideshow on a particular page. Are Galleries saved any place so I could click on the file and use it in another location or do I have to recreate the gallery for each use?

  my pages are marked private now because they are “in the works.”

  You can use the same photos multiple times on your site.

  To insert the same images you’ve used in the Gallery widget in a slideshow on a page or post, just follow the instructions in this Support doc https://en.support.wordpress.com/gallery/
