Gallery displays photos in one column

  Hello everyone,

  I am building my first website and ran into issues with WordPress’s gallery feature. I created an image gallery using the ‘Add Media’ -> ‘Create Gallery’ feature and opt for my images to be displayed in 3 columns. However the images end up appearing in one single column. Is there some way to fix this?

  Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!

  Hi there!

  Congrats on building your first website, we’re so glad to have you with us!

  As you’re creating your gallery of images, an easier way to get the columns you’re looking for would be to use the gallery block: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/gallery-block/

  You’ll first need to upload the images you’d like to use to your Media Library, but then you can head to the Pages section in your dashboard, and either edit an existing page or create a new one.

  Then, you can add the Gallery block to that page, and select the images you want to display in that gallery. The block settings also have the option to set how many columns you want, like this: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/gallery-block/#columns

  Thank you so much for your reply. I am using classic editor right now and have managed to add a gallery section, however I unable to see any options for how many columns I want or any of the image settings that the video tutorial you showed me has. Is there a way for me to find those settings using classic editor or do you have any recommendations for what I should do? Your help is hugely appreciated, thank you so much in advance.

  Hi again!

  No problem at all :) when I take a look into your site, it actually looks like rzplumbing.wordpress.com is using our block editor, and our newer template experience for your homepage.

  Do you have a link to the page you’re working on currently, that’s using the Classic editor? If you’re able to share that with us here, we’ll be happy to take a closer look.
