Gallery Help in Fresh and Clean template

  I am looking for some help with my Gallery feature on the Fresh and Clean theme. I would like to have a short caption that shows under the thumbnail with a longer description once the image is clicked on or when it is in slideshow. Does anyone have advice as to how I would do this? Currently it shows the full description text under each thumbnail and it is looking too cluttered.
