Gallery — how to stop pics from repeating

  I’m trying to use one large pic as my “lede” art at the top of a blog post, then run a gallery of four thumbnails across the bottom of the same post, without having the lede pic repeat itself in the gallery. How do I get or keep the lede pic out of the gallery?

  You can use the “exclude” property in the gallery shortcode (edit it in the HTML tab) as explained in the gallery support document.

  The code would look like this in general

  [gallery exclude="ID"]

  and the ID would be the attachment ID of the image you want to exclude. (See note under the table for how to find the attachment ID of an image.)
