Gallery Image quality blurry?

  Hi, I have added a gallery to my wordpress page. The issue I am having is the quality of the images are poor. I tried down sizing my images to 848 × 568 yet the quality is still very poor. I have viewed my page on a Macbook and Imac the quality is awful. However on IE the quality is fine. Any idea’s on how I can increase my the image quality?
