Gallery images are overlapping text on tablet only

  Hi,

  For some reason my images in the gallery block are overlapping the text. This is only happening on tablets- on the desktop and mobile it is absolutely fine.

  I’ve tried the CSS codes on previous forums but none of them have worked, does anyone have a solution to this?

  On what site is this?

  Are you using the plain gallery block, or the Tiled Gallery block from Jetpack?

  Hi there,

  Yes, please provide the URL. Also, what tablet and what browser are you using on the tablet? The tiled gallery may be better to use, but there have been some reports of cropping issues on mobile devices, so I want to see if I also see the overlapping text on tablet.

  You wouldn’t have an account on WordPress.org unless you’ve used those forums before – that is just the site where the software you’re using is made and supported, and you don’t need an account there to actually use the software, unlike WordPress.com :)

  The tiled gallery block from Jetpack gives other layout options from the regular one, but which is better depends on what exactly you need.

  The reason I asked which one, is to figure out the best place for you to get help – the regular gallery block is part of the WordPress software itself, so for help with that the best place to go is the WordPress.org forums that @galois linked to above. If you were using the tiled gallery block, Jetpack support would have been better.

  You can check if you see the same issue when you switch to the tiled gallery block. When you post in the WordPress.org forums, you can then mention whether or not that makes any difference – it can help the folks over there troubleshoot what might be going on with the core gallery block.

  Also include a link back to this thread when you post over there.

  I’ve managed to fix the issue using your help on having a tiled gallery instead and that has done the job perfectly.
