gallery images opening to new url

  I am using gallery feature to showcase my photos.
  When someone clicks on each photo they do open a new url.
  How can I set this up? Thanks.

  Hi, I’m not sure I understand what you are wanting. Are you wanting to have the images in a gallery open other pages or something? If so, we cannot change the URL of an image on a gallery here at WordPress.com.

  What I meant was that when someone clicks on an image in the gallery, it does not open to a new page to show a bigger view of the image. People will have to go ‘back’ to see the blog again.
  If I were to add an image instead of a gallery, I have the option of having the image open up in a new page. When I create a gallery of images, this option does not exist.

  Hi, we can’t set images within a gallery to open in a new window/tab, but what you may want to try is the image carousel, which will show your images as large as possible, overlaid on the page. Go to Settings > Media and under Image Gallery Carousel, enable the carousel and save. Then visit a gallery on your site and click on one of the images and you can play with the gallery.
