Gallery not showing correctly

  The images in the galleries on our blog ( http://mkartsforhealth.org.uk/touch-of-pink-close-up/) aren’t showing correctly on some computers. I think the problem may be with windows 2003.

  Is there anything you can suggest to put it right?

  Hi Sharon,

  Can you describe how the galleries are showing up on your computers? You can also make a screenshot of what you see, to help me understand what’s going on. You can upload screenshots to your Media Library under Media > Add New in your dashboard, or you can use an online service such as Snaggy.

  It’s very likely that your operating system and browser just don’t support WordPress.com galleries. (The galleries are working on my end, and the photos are wonderful!) We do our best to support older browsers as much as possible, but in some cases there isn’t anything we can do as browsers change over time and with every new version.

  Hi,

  Thanks for getting back to me. I have never used snaggy before so hope this works.

  

  The gallery pictures come up as a series of very thin lines.

  Hi Sharon,

  This is, indeed, an issue with your operating system and browser and how they display galleries at WordPress.com. There isn’t much we do about that, given that newer versions of Internet Explorer work differently and we need to support those newer versions.

  If you’re ok with trying a different browser, I recommend downloading another browser like Firefox or Chrome to see if that works better for you. You can find the latest versions of popular browsers here: http://browsehappy.com/

  If you have to use Internet Explorer, you might want to try out Compatibility View to see if it improves how your blog looks to you:

  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view

  Keep in mind, though, that other features at WordPress.com (such as your blog’s dashboard) may not work properly with Compatibility View. If you do use Compatibility View to view your blog, you may need to disable it before working on your blog in the dashboard.
