gallery not working

  I have uploaded 25 images that I want to put into a blog post, when I insert a gallery it appears in the edit box, but doesn’t show on the published page. I have had to add each image individually and they are just as a written text link. Can anyone help explain why the gallery function isn’t working?

  Every file listed in that post is a PDF file and therefore the Gallery does not recognize them as images. Image formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG, or GIF http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/

  There are a couple of things you can do with PDFs. First of all you can embed them in your Post using Scribd http://en.support.wordpress.com/scribd/ but because there are so many files, you might want to consider paginating your post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/nextpage/

  Another thing you may want to consider, if you want your visitors to view a smallish thumbnail of the document, is to take a screenshot and upload it as a thumbnail and then link the document to the thumbnail.

  I’m sure other folks will have more suggestions.

  Thanks very much Jennifer! I didn’t realise that pdfs didn’t work like that!
