Gallery order change

  I am working on a setup I have for the new Photography theme. I want to know how to change the order in which posts appear in the “gallery”. For example, http://www.jessejameskelley.wordpress.com, hit the gallery link. I would like “boxing” to appear first, not “people”. I was hoping you would be able to help me switch the order of posts in the Gallery. Thanks for any help!

  You can change that by creating your own menu at Appearance -> Menus in your blog’s Dashboard.

  Hello and thank you for your time. I visited the link you provided but am not sure if that is what I am looking for. I have been able to rearrange the actual menu of the site, or the words. What I am talking about is rearranging the actual images on my Gallery page. Moving the images around, not the menu links. Thanks again, and I hope to hear back!

  There’s no direct way to do that besides the order options provided in the Gallery edit window.

  Yeah, I have checked hard into all the options provided in the Gallery edit window and have come up with no luck with the problem I have. If you know of something I missed in the Gallery edit, please let me know!
  I am posting the following advise to whomever might order the photography theme. It is a pretty neat theme but if the above problem arises for you, I suggest planning ahead with the Gallery image order you want. It looks like it will display them in the order you create. Which means if you want a certain image link to be displayed first, you should create it last. Personally, since I have already created them, I will have to delete them all including the photo’s I have uploaded (to save time, work and confussion in the long run) and re-upload the images as I create the galleries in the proper order in which I want them to appear. It seems like an easy fix, or something that could be easily corrected by the author, but hey, it is still a pretty nice theme regardless! Thanks Macmanx for your time.

  The ordering of the images on the gallery template page in the Photography theme is based on the timestamps of the posts in the same way posts are ordered on a home page in most WordPress.com blogs. So, if you open the Posts section in your blog dashboard and adjust the dates or times of the posts, that will change the order you’re looking to update.
