Gallery photos & featured images

  Okay so once I have uploaded a gallery on a page, I’m able to delete the images from my library, but the gallery is still live and none of the photos have disappeared.

  When uploading featured images, I save it and then delete the images from my media, and then the thumbnails//featured images are gone.

  TL:DR Is there any way to delete featured image files from my media without them deleting from posts on their featured content?

  (I really need the storage on the account but don’t have the money)

  A WordPress.com gallery depends upon images in the media library. Remove the gallery images from the media library, and the gallery images will disappear. Show us a case where your gallery is displaying images that have been removed from the media library.

  Is there any way to delete featured image files from my media without them deleting from posts on their featured content?

  Hmm not sure how to include a photo to show the screenshot. My problem isn’t photos disappearing from a gallery, it’s the the featured images are going.

  Show us a case where your gallery is displaying images that have been removed from the media library.

  I mean provide us with a link to the page, post, etc. where such an image gallery is displaying. I refer specifically to a WordPress.com image gallery.

  We have the same problem! We accidentaly deleted our library and by that all our photo’s in our blog disapeared, even our profile pic.
