Gallery photos not displaying in Twenty-Ten

I’ve gone into Settings>Media>clicked the box to display cool mosaic photos>save
And nothing has happened.
Will this change old post formats into this new cool gallery? Or only new posts?

I’ve just written a new post in gallery format, but there is no cool mosaic of my photos. I’m pretty sure I’ve done everything correct maybe it doesn’t work with this theme.

Looking at the post you linked to, I can tell you that you’ve confused the Gallery Post Format with the Gallery feature. They are two different things.
You have to insert your images in your post after uploading by using the Gallery feature in order for them to show up as mosaics, if you’ve ticked the box under Media Settings to set the mosaic as the default display for your posts using the Gallery feature.
