Gallery pictures in widget not next to each other

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,
I added a widget in the footer of my blog with a gallery.

I wanted the pictures to be placed next to each other, but unfortunately they are now placed underneath each other, here: https://thebluepassionfruit.blog/

    What can I do?
    Thx

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

What I see in the footer widget area on https://thebluepassionfruit.blog/, under “Favorite Green Beauty Products,” is a gallery displayed in a mosaic of rectangular tiles. How does the gallery now appear to you?

    Hi,
    Yes I see the same.
However I would like these pictures displayed next to each other, and not in a mosaic or just on the left of the website (I didn’t choose the function “mosaic” in the settings).

It’s like the back-end doesn’t correctly take the settings I save but takes the mosaic anyway.

Thanks for that additional information. For some reason, I’ve been unable to detect the theme applied to the site. Perhaps its been retired. What is the theme?

sorry I forgot to mention, the theme is Olsen.

Thanks. Because it’s a paid theme, as a volunteer with a free account I’m unable to test Olsen. However, along with the Overview and Setup pages for the Olsen theme, WordPress.com also has a dedicated Olsen premium theme support forum where you may “Get in touch with the theme author.”

Submitting your support request to the premium theme support page might be the most expeditious and efficient way to begin seeking a resolution of this issue.

(I didn’t choose the function “mosaic” in the settings)

Mosaic is not one of the available style options. See the Settings section of the Gallery Widget support page. It looks like you’ve chosen the “Tiles” style. What style have you selected? The style options are Tiles, Square Tiles, Circles, or Slideshow. “Mosaic,” I think, is just another way of describing the look of the rectangular tile option.

Yes I have selected “tiles” in the settings for the widget.
In the settings for the Gallery there is the option “tiled mosaic”.

I tried the different settings, but do not find a way to have each picture in the Gallery next to each other…
Is there a possibility? Or way to include this setting in the CSS, if this is not possible in the gallery?

OK I will check with the support team for the Olsen theme, thanks.

If you mean to have the gallery displayed as a row of images, like the images in the Instagram Widget in the demo found at the Olsen theme guide (“Overview”), then the answer is no, not in a gallery widget at least.

It might be possible with CSS customization. You may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar at the right here to call for staff attention. Staff will be able to provide a definitive response regarding the customization question.

    Good choice. You’re welcome. : -)

I forgot the option of placing images side-by-side in a text widget in the full-width footer widget area. This could be done, for example, by constructing a table consisting of images, or image links if you prefer. No CSS customization would be required.

yes I have found this solution and have done it like this, thanks
