Gallery pictures pixelated

  Hi there!

  I recognized a problem that seems to occur as of late. When I upload pictures and create a gallery with them, the thumbnails shown within the gallery are pixelated, they look blurry and are full of ‘artifacts’ (idk what those are called in English; the appear around shapes like the princesses’ outlines or around the plant in the upper left corner):

  I have no problems with the ‘original’ pictures – when I click on one of the thumbnails, the picture is shown perfectly fine.

  I’m pretty sure that the problem is new, because older galleries are shown alright:

  Is there any reason why this happens?
