Gallery reorder images not working

  In the photo galleries on my posts, I am unable to drag and drop images to reorder them. Is there a way around this? Or better yet, is WordPress fixing the problem?

  Hi jimmysworldtour,

  I just tried reordering some of the images in a gallery of mine, and it is working, though I think that the selection of the image could be made more fluid and intuitive too.

  Have you tried selecting the image you want to reorder before dragging it? There should be a blue border around the image to show that it is selected.

  This seems to be a recurring problem for some users.

  Can you please advise:

  1. where you are trying to reorder the images (from the New Dash Post Editor or the Classic Post Editor in your site’s Dashboard) and
  2. what browser and version you are using.

  With iOS 8.1 on iPad I can no longer drag and drop to reorder images. I’ve tried Safari on iPad and the WordPress app.

  With Chrome on my desktop I have no trouble reordering images.
