  how do I loose the black box around the gallery slide show in designfolio theme

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Go to > Dashboard > Settings >Media
  http://candidarts.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-media.php

  Scroll down to Background color (black or white)

  Unfortunately I’ve tried that and nothing happened.

  Ideally I would like to loose the box completely.

  That will work for the Photo Carousel, but if you want to change the frame around a slideshow, you’ll want to read this post by Panos: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/04/16/custom-frame-around-slideshow/

  You can use the Appearance > Customize > CSS editor to hide the slideshow border. Here’s an example:

  div.slideshow-window {
  	background: inherit;
  	border: none;
  }
