Gallery Slideshow Functionality Not available

  We have an animal rescue site that we post posts to adopt animals out. At the very bottom, we add however many photos we have of the animal (1-10). We used to have it in Slideshow format and somehow we’ve lost the capability to use slideshows anymore. I have read THIS article at no avail. We can create a gallery, which displays the thumbnails, but we do not have the dropdown option to change it to a slideshow (screenshot – http://tinypic.com/r/jggnwk/8). I have tried to update the media and do not have the options for the carousal (screenshot here http://tinypic.com/r/1zoyemh/8).

  Anyone have any ideas as to why we have lost the functionality?

  If your blog is in wordpress.com manually add in text window as in the example below:

  [gallery type="slideshow" ids nnnn nnnnn etc] where nnn nnnn are the image ids already there.

  not sure if this will work on .ORG good luck.

  The screenshots that the OP shared seem to indicate that their site is not hosted on WPcom.
