Gallery style blog posts

How can you change the way your blog posts appear on your site? I don’t like how the blog posts are posted one above the other and needs to be scrolled. I want to make it so that there are many pages of gallery-style buttons. When I click on the button, it should open up the content.
I know I’m not explaining this well, but go to michellephan.com and click on any tab. You see how her posts are not one on top the other? Rather, they are a gallery-style setup with a thumbnail and title for each post made, and many pages of these.

There might be some themes here that do that, but you’ll have to do a search of them all to find one that does.

I don’t mind paying for a theme that does that. I was wondering if there was even a theme that did exactly that. If not, would I have to get a custom upgrade and have someone code it to my liking? -
