Gallery Text Color
-
I am using the Canard theme. I am creating a gallery and am linking the text of the photo captions to other posts. The text in the photo gallery is gray (and not easily readable against the photo background) but changes to white when hovered over. What is the CSS code to remove the hover feature and make the text permanently white?
Thank you for your time and assistance.

Thank you for responding. I have not yet published the post. I wanted to change the font color before doing so. Is there a way to let you see it as a draft? Or send a screenshot of the preview?
Here’s what I am trying to do. I have published several posts that are all related. Each has a photograph. I wanted to use the gallery as a separate post that collects the related posts. I used the photographs from the original posts in the gallery and linked the caption on each thumbnail to the original post.
The current preview shows gray font. It’s difficult to see the text against the dark background of the photographs. When I hover over the gray text it changes to white.
I thought of another option: changing the color of the caption font to white and not changing the hover color since it is already white. Also, is there a way to limit the CSS changes to apply to only this post?
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Hi Mike,
To change the colour of the caption and remove hover feature you need to add CSS code.
For that, I need to have a link of the post. I can’t access the draft.
However, you are having a WordPress.com plan, so you can get help directly from happiness engineers from here https://wordpress.com/help/contact
