Gallery Widget

  I want to have a slideshow of images on my website. I go to the widget and add the gallery widget, I add the title and click on choose images and nothing happens. I’m working off of a google chromebook if that matters. Can someone help me with this please?

  Suggestions:
  1. Please submit forum support requests just once. This one was duplicated four times.
  2. Try using a different browser (updated, preferably) on the same device.
  3. Attempt to do the same thing, add images to a gallery widget, on a different device.

  Don’t use the Customizer; add the widget in Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets>Add Gallery Widget>Add images, select style of Gallery. Save.

  Actually!, the gallery widget in the customizer has recently been fixed. I just tested it and it worked. To reach it, you can go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Gallery Widget and the “Choose Images” button should be working from that location now. Please let me know if that one is not working for you.

  I researched a bit further and found that the “Choose Images” button is not working in the WP Admin > Appearance > Widgets screen when accessibility mode is enabled, and I’ve made sure that bug has been reported separately. Sorry for the trouble and the confusion about what is working where!
