Gallery with photos from flickr

  I would like to create a gallery post with severals pictures from my Flickr account.

  is this possible?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  First we need a link to your WordPress.com site, including the http:// part, which will make it a clickable link.

  yes, it is very possible. Here is a wordpress site I made with a flickr photo tape down the right sidebar. (http://www.seasiderep.org) The code if found in your flickr account. You can set the number of photos you want it to use and when you upload new photos to Flickr, they automatically update the Flickr tape on your wordpress site. The Flickr pics work well with WordPress.

  I’m trying to make the same thing with videos from youtube beta and it isn’t working.

  @seasidereptheatre-Using the flickr widget in your blog sidebar is one solution if you want the pictures in your sidebar, but the OP asked about creating a post with a gallery of flickr pictures. Same same, but different. “-)

  I’m not sure if that is possible. You can create a wp gallery as a post, using individual photos hosted on flickr, but I’m not sure if you can simply import a gallery from Flickr to wp. It took me a while to learn how to post a simple gallery on wp, so I’m just learning. Maybe someone else can chime in with more/better info.

  @seasidereptheatre-Once we know that the OP’s blog is hosted on WordPress.com, I’ll be able to answer.

  People who are using self-hosted installs of WordPress.org have other options available to them which we don’t. That’s why I asked for a link to the OP’s WordPress.com site.

  By the way, I meant: “how to have a wordpress gallery with flickr photos” and not “How to have a flickr gallery imported into my wordpress blog”.
  Is that clearer?

  The WordPress Gallery only works with images that are uploaded together and inserted here in a blog post or page on WordPress.com. You can’t insert photos that are hosted outside of WordPress.com. You have to upload them here.

  But, you can insert the flickr slideshow via VodPod as well as this solution, found on Panos’ blog
