Garland appearance questions

  1) why is all the text bold? i don’t have any bold HTML code in my posts or pages so and I’ve seen other people using Garland themes with normal text.

  2) how can I remove the Reply box at the bottom of pages? have also seen this done by other people using Garland theme.

  I upgraded to custom CSS – hopefully that wasn’t a total waste?

  1) In the last two text widgets of your left sidebar you’ve got opening instead of closing bold tags, and this affects the rest of the code of the page. The tags after the phrase should be like that:
  </strong>

  2) Page editor > Discussion > deactivate “Allow comments”, click Update page.

  By the way, you don’t need separate text widgets for separate phrases. Use that for line breaks:
  <br />
  and that for blank lines:
  <div> </div>
