Gateway: change location of content on homepage
-
I’m using Gateway theme. I’d like to move the homepage content above the featured posts. It seems like that’s what’s going on here: https://thechelseydiaries.com/
How can I replicate that in an incredibly simple way.I’m working on this site: http://www.designpathmedia.com/torwp/

Hi there,
You’ll need to assign the Home Page template to your page in order to replicate the look of the site you linked to.
To assign a page template: Navigate to the editor for a page and then select from the Template dropdown menu in the Page Attributes module. The Page Attributes module can generally be found to the right hand of the editor. If you can’t see it, select the Screen Options tab in the upper right and then check the option next to Page Attributes to get the module to display.
As an extra note: These forums are intended for folk who have their sites hosted here at WordPress.com. Your site is hosted with another company and running on the free software available here at WordPress.org.
The difference between the two types of WordPress (WordPress.com and WordPress.org) is an understandable and common point of confusion. If you’re unsure of the differences, then this guide gives a good overview.
As your site is hosted elsewhere, the theme’s dedicated support forum over on WordPress.org is the best place for you to go with any extra questions:

Hope that helps to point you in the right direction!
