Gateway: Change title font color

Hello,
I’d like to change the color of my website’s title and tag line so that it is not obscured by the image I am using as a header. I am currently running http://laurenhusting.com in Gateway theme. Thanks in advance!

Hey lahusting,
I wish I had a better eye for color schemes to help out. I would experiment with different color options until you find something you like.
.site-branding .site-title a { color:rgb(255, 14, 118); } h2.site-description { color:rgb(255, 14, 118); } -
Hi @lahustling
I tend to agree with @daschultemn that it’s the busy-ness of the background image that is fighting your text here.
One thing you can try using is the text-shadow property, like so:
.site-branding { text-shadow: 1px 1px 7px #000; }You can try the above block of code, by entering it into the CSS tab of your site customizer here: https://wordpress.com/customize
Does that help?

Thank you both for your help, staff-totoro, @daschultemn.
The text shading worked great, making the letters pop off the image.
I’ll bookmark this if I want to play with it further.
