Gateway – how to make page title not visible

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

    I’m using the theme Gateway and I noticed that the page titles are visible on the pages themselves. I’d like to not have them visible on top of each page as they are redundant content on the page.

    If I remove the titles, they don’t appear anymore in the menu.
    Can someone help with this?

    Thanks!
    Silvia

  • Hi Silvia, you have a few options:

    – Give the pages different, more descriptive titles, but just keep the menu labels simple. You can do this by editing the page titles then using Customize to simplify the menu labels

    Or

    – Add CSS Support to the site (it’s available with Premium and opens up a lot of customization options) so you can use a snippet like this to hide titles from pages:

    .page .entry-title {
      display: none;
    }

    Honestly I’d recommend the first option if possible. Remember page titles affect SEO and what not. But if you prefer the clean look of no titles on the pages, the CSS above will do the trick.

    Wonderful, thanks!!

    The first option works… now, I just need to get creative in finding good pages “titles”!
