GATEWAY: Logo, headerimage and how it looks on a mobile?

    Hi,

we have just changed to Gateway.

Problem: We had a Header Image (size as given 2560×640), including picutres and the logo. On the PC it Looks perfekt but not on a mobile phone or tablet. The sides are cut and you cannot see the whole logo.

Now we made a new Header Image (mainliy White) and included the LOGO via “Website Information”/”logo”. The size is 500 width as recommended. Now you can see the whole logo on the mobile device BUT on the PC it Looks very very small.

Our old theme did the “conversion” between PC and Mobile automatically – both looked good.

    What can we do??

    Thanks a lot!

    Sophie & Sebastian

    I found it!!!

Here how it works – just in case someone else has the Problem.

Go to DESIGN (Close to Theme in the wp-admin) then MOBILE and activate. Sorry, I use the german Version, but youwill find it.

    I am sosoosos happy!!

If you’re content with the separate mobile theme, that’s great – but I just wanted to mention that since Gateway is a responsive theme, it automatically adjust to different screen sizes, so the mobile theme shouldn’t be required.

If you decide to deactivate the mobile theme and would like help getting your header and logo to look more like what you want, just let me know. You may have to split your logo out into a separate graphic from the header image, and upload it via Site Identity.

But if you’re happy with the mobile theme, that’s fine too!

    Hi,
I actually use the same theme and have the same problem as Sophie.

I have done what Sophie suggested and it looked Okay but as I came across this forum I realised I would like to have the logo and image to look like what I want on a mobile screen.

    Could you please help?

    Thanks

navidsamedi – your header actually looks fine to me on a mobile screen, because your wording is contained in a fairly narrow area. Could you you please explain in as much detail as possible what you want to be different about it? Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply Kathryn.

    I’m happy with the heading on my site for now. More urgently, I need help with the fonts and font size;

Lets jus say I want to change the font and font size of the sample text Parque Natural Metropolitano de Panama (Metropolitan Natural Park) on my article Panama City’s 5 iconic sights.

can you just run me through the CSS for that as an example?

    Thanks a lot

navidsamedi – could please start a new thread in the CSS Customization forum since you have a different question:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization

That’ll prevent the original poster from receiving more email notifications and help make the forums more searchable and useful. Thanks!
