Gateway Theme

    Every time I try to import the widget areas, it says that the Widget area does not exist in theme and makes all of the widgets inactive. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi @lifeisja!

    It looks like the site you’ve linked to is actually hosted at Bluehost, and not here on WordPress.com.

    For that type of WordPress site (called self hosting) you’ll want to post to the community forums at http://WordPress.org/support, since your setup is a little different from the WordPress.com hosted sites this forum is geared towards :)

    Regarding the importing of widget areas – the standard WordPress import/export process doesn’t usually include widgets. If you’re using a specific plugin, try reaching out for help in the specific forum for that item. If it’s a plugin from WordPress.org, find it there and click the “view support forum” link.
