Gateway Theme: Changing featured content order
-
I have built a photo site for a friend using Gateway Theme and she would like to change the order of the featured content (we are featuring pages instead of posts). We would like to change the order on screen (from left to right) Child Photography, Testimonials, Family Photography. If you pull in posts it puts them on the page by date, but pages not so. I even tried deleting and rebuilding the Family Photography page so it had a later date, but when I tag it, it still shows up on the left. Is there a way to fix this? The site I am working on is http://tsphotoreno.com
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I even tried deleting and rebuilding the Family Photography page so it had a later date, but when I tag it, it still shows up on the left.
Leftmost would be the most recent, i.e. the later date. So if you want “Family Photography” to be on the right of the featured content section, then it should have the earliest date of the three. It is unnecessary to rebuild a page to change the published date. Published dates can be changed on pages and posts at any time (see below).
On a test site I was able to confirm that in the Featured Content area of a page with the Homepage Template assigned on the Gateway theme, pages or posts appear in reverse chronological order, the most recent at the left.
Steps to change the publish date of a page, regardless of theme activated:
1. At My Sites > Site > click the “Pages” item in the left sidebar menu to display pages.
2. Select a page for editing and click on the three-bar toggle menu to display the edit options.
3. Click “Edit” to enter the page editor.
4. Find the calendar icon at the right of the Update button, and click on it to display the calendar and time. Change the publish date and time, as desired.
5. When you’ve completed the edits, click update.
That’s it. -
